Our return policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, we unfortunately cannot offer a full refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return:

  • The item must be unused and in the same condition in which it was received.
  • It must be returned in its original packaging.
  • Proof of purchase (receipt or order confirmation) is required.

Do not return your item to the manufacturer before contacting us.

  • Personalized or custom items
  • Gift cards
  • Personal equipment (e.g. abdominal guards, jewellery)

🔁 Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged.

🎁 Gifts

If your item was marked as a gift and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be issued.

If the item was not marked as a gift or was shipped to the gift giver first, the refund will be processed to the original purchaser.

  • You will be responsible for return shipping costs.
  • Shipping costs are non-refundable. If a refund is issued, the cost of return shipping will be deducted.

We recommend using a trackable shipping service or shipping insurance for items of higher value. We cannot guarantee receipt of returned items without tracking.

Once your return is received and inspected, you’ll be notified by email regarding the approval or rejection of your refund.

If approved, your refund will be processed and automatically applied to your original method of payment within a few business days.

🛠️ Shinty Stick Care & Use Guidelines

At Tanera Camans, we craft every stick using the finest timbers for strength and performance — but shinty is a contact sport, and proper use and care are essential.

🧽 Care Instructions

  • Store your caman in a cool, dry place
  • Keep it upright with the handle up when not in use
  • Avoid excess moisture, extreme heat, or prolonged exposure to sunlight
  • Do not strike metal cleats, stones, rocks, or anything other than regulation shinty balls
  • Only use on grass or turf surfaces

❌ What Is Not Covered / Not Eligible for Return

We do not offer a warranty on shinty sticks. Due to the nature of the game, the following issues are considered normal wear and tear and are not accepted for refund or exchange:

  • Chips, scratches, nicks, invisible cracks
  • Grip wear or unravelling
  • Damage from stick clashes (a normal part of the sport)
  • Damage from misuse or inappropriate surfaces
  • Any sign of abuse, including striking rocks, posts, or other sticks

🛑 Note:
Play on concrete, gravel, tennis courts, or any abrasive surface will grind down your caman and shorten its life dramatically.

🛠️ Maintenance Tips

To ensure the longevity and performance of your Tanera Caman:

Store smart:
Keep your caman in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight when not in use. Avoid leaving it in car boots, outside, or near radiators.

Choose light, handle right:
A lighter caman is generally easier to handle, allowing for quicker movements and reduced fatigue — especially for younger players or those in fast, mobile positions.

But remember:
A lighter caman means less timber, and that can mean less strength. Always choose a caman that suits your size, strength, and style of play. It’s all about finding the right balance between speed and durability.

Tape before play:
Never use a caman straight out of the bag. Always tape the handle, shaft and head to suit your style of play — this protects the stick and increases its lifespan.

Wipe & oil:
After each session, wipe your caman clean with a dry cloth and apply a light coat of raw linseed oil or varnish to nourish the wood.
